Special Journalism Projects
Need someone to cover a conference for you? Looking for on-the-ground reporting at a major international event? I can provide diverse coverage for you to engage audiences who could not be there in person. This includes blogs, Q&As, in-depth articles and social media content.
A pop-up news site developed by NewsDeeply in partnership with the Mastercard Center for Financial Inclusion around the historic 2015 UN Conference on the Sustainable Development Goals. I produced two features for the project aimed at raising awareness of financial inclusion issues at the conference.
Sustainable Brands is the largest gathering of sustainability experts and socially responsible businesses in North America. As part of a blogger team of 10, I produced blog posts, recaps, and social media content on rapid turn around for immediate publication on the conference site and social media channels.
Sometimes an article, or a blog post, is not enough. You need to go more in-depth, or provide a deeper level of analysis for your audience. In additional to my journalistic experience, I’ve worked with non-profits and academic institutions to produce factually accurate, investigative reports.
Collaborated with Ugandan NGOs to build detailed guidelines for sustainable and ethical development of recently discovered oil fields. Final report was published in Uganda and won the prestigious Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson Award.
I have worked on several sponsored content series, producing editorially independent, journalistic quality stories on topics of interest to leaders in the sustainability sector. I can do the same on a topic of interest to your company or organization.
Series exploring how initiatives like curbside compost pick-up, rebates on compost bins, & efficient appliances can help families reduce their impact without breaking the bank.
Testimonials from Editors
Nithin has worked with us as a freelance writer for the better part of two years. It is a genuine pleasure to engage with someone who understands international campaigning, technology and storytelling. His familiarity with a range of people and political situations helps draw out new insights about social change and activism. As an added bonus, he’s genuinely kind, open to feedback, witty and reliable.Ted Fickes
I had the pleasure of editing Nithin’s work for over two years. Nithin is a self-starter with the ability to produce copy on a deadline with little to no oversight, and the pieces he submitted to TriplePundit.com were well written and well researched. His growing expertise in supply chain and human rights issues in Asia was an asset to our coverage, as it would be to any media outlet in the sustainability and social justice space. I would highly recommend Nithin for any writing and editorial opportunities in this field.Mary Mazzoni
My goal is to help make a difference. Thus, I include several factors such as location, size of organization, budget, and issue area when determining project cost. My rate is highest for for-profit enterprises and international NGOs, less for local NGOs, and lowest for community organizations. I am also willing to work pro-bono on small projects for specific causes. I am especially open to doing this for indigenous communities or indigenous rights organizations.
